The month in which we hope to never end<\/p>\n
Unable to count the infinite blessings it sends<\/p>\n
Asked by our Lord to give up our worldly pleasures<\/p>\n
So that we may receive His divine treasures<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a time that comes once a year<\/p>\n
Yet the moments that we hold most dear<\/p>\n
The nights spent in prayer and reflection<\/p>\n
Prepares the soul for redemption<\/p>\n
Praying to our Creator for mercy and wisdom<\/p>\n
Pleading to be admitted into His kingdom<\/p>\n
We welcome you, O Ramadan, with joy as our guest<\/p>\n
Having to subdue our egos as a test<\/p>\n
You mend our hearts and give us tranquility<\/p>\n
As we engage in battling our iniquity<\/p>\n
Solidifying the bonds of kith and kin<\/p>\n
Washing away the stain of sin<\/p>\n
Fasting not only of body but of speech<\/p>\n
It is Your Benevolence which we beseech<\/p>\n
O Ramadan, you have blessed us with your presence<\/p>\n
Teaching us to grow from our spiritual adolescence<\/p>\n
Continue to be the month which will always bless<\/p>\n
Helping us to alleviate our fears and distress<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Share your thoughts and feelings about the precious guest with us and with others\u2026.<\/p>\n
