Surah Al-Qari'ah ( The Striking Hour ) - Aya count 11

ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿١﴾

The (unprecedented) crash!

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿٢﴾

What is the crash?

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿٣﴾

Would that you knew what the crash is!

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ ﴿٤﴾

On that day, people will be like scattered moths

وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ ﴿٥﴾

and mountains will be like carded wool.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿٦﴾

Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale)

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ ﴿٧﴾

will live a pleasant life,

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿٨﴾

but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale).

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ ﴿٩﴾

will have hawiyah as their dwelling.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ ﴿١٠﴾

Would that you knew what hawiya his?

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ ﴿١١﴾

It is a burning Fire.
